Artist Biographies
EJ Braida
(biography coming soon)
Susan Dyer
Susan Dyer fabricates sterling silver and polymer jewelry out of her studio in Chicago, IL. She often arranges several pieces together to make a more complicated piece. However, her jewelry is interactive. If you’re in a more minimalistic mood, simply remove several of the interchangeable pieces for a more streamlined look. Susan’s goal is for her jewelry to look better on the wearer than it does in the case.
Amy Faust
Amy is a San Francisco Bay Area based artist who started making jewelry in high school and continued through college receiving a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at the State University of New York at New Paltz in 1984. Amy also attended the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco. Amy finds that working in jewelry arts allows her to think sculpturally, graphically, and painterly. She also is able to satisfy her desire to make things with her hands by using jeweler’s tools, such as files and torches. Amy values simplicity, color, light, subtle texture and the connection between art and nature. Amy finds inspiration from both natural and urban environments.
Mollie Myers
Mollie is the resident goldsmith/jewelry artist at Studio Ag. She handcrafts jewelry and small scale sculpture utilizing a variety of jewelry mediums. She is an experienced goldsmith and certified precious metal clay artist who has worked professionally in both commercial jewelry and conceptual art jewelry. Mollie has always loved teaching and has had formal training in education, graduating from Goucher College in 2002, with a degree in Education, Art, & Spanish. Mollie combines her love of art and education in her role as the primary jewelry instructor at Studio Ag. She enjoys watching students acquire new techniques that they incorporate into their own visual vocabulary, leading to the creation of their own bodies of work. Mollie is currently serving as the Vice Chair Person for the Metals Guild of Maryland, ahs served as the President of the Baltimore Chapter of the Precious Metal Clay GUild, and is a member of The Society of North American Goldsmiths and the International Precious Metal Clay Guild. Mollie is currently working towards her Masters Registry in Metal Clay.
Patrick Ober
One of Pennsylvania’s most notable chainmaille artists, Patrick has been making armour and jewelry since 1994. He has had work at local galleries, the Walters Art Museum, and the Maryland Historical Society over the past few years. Patrick’s work is all made by hand, one at a time, ring by ring. Patrick specializes in chainmaille and loop-in-loop and works predominantly in sterling silver, fine silver, and titanium.
JacQueline Sanchez
Jacqueline is an Atlanta-based jewelry artist who began her making jewelry while following The Greatful Dead around the country making “dancing bear” earrings from sheet silver. Her silver “dancing bears” funded her formal training at the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology. Prior to starting her own business Jacqueline worked as a bench jeweler for more than 10 years, during which time she refined her craft and technique. Today, Jacqueline handcrafts playful, elegant wearable modern art. Jacqueline is a recipient of an achievement award from the American Craft Council for her signature “Forever Young” collection that features legos and diamonds.

Environmentally & People Friendly Practices
Studio Ag emphasizes the use of environmentally friendly practices in the jewelry studio. We strongly believe that you can make beautiful jewelry while being environmentally conscious. Limiting the use of chemicals and known toxins is extremely important to us. We do not use cadmium nor do we use fluxes that contain flourides and we use only the most environmentally friendly patinas. Additionally, we use citric acid pickle instead of traditional jeweler’s sparex. We all know that recycling is a good thing to do , but it’s especially important in regard to metals because mining metals can cause pollution and toxic releases. Studio Ag has signed on with the No Dirty Gold Campaign’s “Golden Rules” criteria that calls for more responsible mining and sourcing of metals. For this reason we choose to pay a higher price for our metals, but we know that our metals are coming from a responsible, eco-friendly refiner who is leading the industry in “green” and responsible business practices. Furthermore, we recycle all of our precious metal scrap either in-house or in a partnership with a commercial refiner and support jewelry artists who have environmentally and people friendly business practices by selling their work in the boutique. In addition to working with a responsible and eco-friendly metal refiner we only purchase gemstones and diamonds from companies that observe the highest standards in regard to business and social practices by complying with the Kimberly Process. We can rest easy knowing that we do not have any conflict diamonds in our studio.
